hi there,i think you will need to eather get a different spur and pinions,or if you have the free upgrade kit that changes the ratio to 1.7 you will find it easy to get down that low
im sure others will be able to help you more and help you round the problem

I thought the FK05 was already running a 1.7 Ratio?

To check the ratio you have count the number of teeth on the Diff (34 Expected), and divide by the number on the layshaft (20 Expected)

If it is at 1.7, a 84 Spur 28 Pinion will give you a 5.1 FDR which is a very good start point for this motor - I personally run a 84/29 and no problems after 6 mins, the motor just reaches 120F which is way off the 170F it will thermal at..

This motor is all about temp, as it will run some crazy ratios...
