I took off the rear belt and the front was still tight. Then I removed the front belt and the rear was tight. I've checked all the bearings and they still seem to resisting movement. None of the bearings free spin. I'm thinking that I have aftermarket bearings, not the Xray bearings, and they are packed with grease. I'll clean them out after Christmas and tell you if that fixes the problem. Thanks for the help. |

I think you may have the start of or maybe even full blown siezure of the layshaft bearings. Are the wheels free to rotate with both belts removed? |

I have backup bearings. Now that I think of it, the layshaft didn't spin as freely as the one-way shaft did on my spare bulkheads. thanks for the tip |
