Hi Brendan Sounds like some of the heads could be widened or rounded due to a incorrect or a bad fitting allen key being used prevously. This is normally more a problem on the bulkhead to chassis screws in my experience What I have done in the past is use a 4 mm drill in reverse, and drill the screws out (The drill in reverse cuts enough of the head to grab it sometimes) or you will just have to drill them out normally - Once the head is off, you can then unscrew the thread using pliers. You can get a complete screw kit for the T1 from teamxray.co.uk for about 8GBP to replace any you have to remove in this manor Personally, I would strip the whole car down, and rebuild and replace all the screws - It gives you the advantage of knowing how to build the car, and the security that everything is how you would like it... Hope this helps Damo |

Hi Brendan, another technique, and it depends on where the screw heads are, is to take a Dremel with a thin round grinding tool a grind a flat head screwdriver "line" into the screw head. This works particulalry well if the screws are the ones on the bottom of the chassis attaching the bulkheads. Yes you will score into the chassis but that is OK |
