If you look at the you'll notice that 1450 is the weight for rubber tire 5-cell. Not sure if this is the norm but it was just something I was looking just before reading your post. I guess you should go by the weight you club sets, if there is one.

Stock TC, 1350 gram

Another brand bumper, 7 gram less

I very much doubt it as the XRay stock bumper weighs about 6 grams...

Light weight inserts, 20 gram less

Sounds great, but there are several problems with this. First there is the matter of control tyres. While the MACH club championship has a free rubber tyre rule many other events do use control tyres and therefore inserts. Not much point in saving weight on something that you cannot influence in for instance the Dutch Nationals.

The there is the fact that the light weight inserts generally result in tyres overheating quite quickly when used on asphalt, even at relatively low temperatures. The tyre wear you will get even when running them with a track temperature of 20 degrees Centigrade as well as the loss in grip quite simply don't make this worth it.

Are there any other way's to safe more weight? For instance, the wire's of my TC are 4mm thick. A friend of mine says that these wire's are to thick and i could also drive with wire's of 2,5mm.

This you could try although bear in mind that thinner wires mean more internal resistence and therefore less punch and speed. Moreover when you run hot motors in 5.0 and lower range you run the risk of the wires overheating if they are too thin. I would certainly not go thinner than 2.5mm which would maybe save you 5 grams or so.

Final thought, most team drivers have their 007s between 1425 and 1450 grams. To save even more we would have to start cutting bulkheads and carbon. If we don't do that, I think there is no point doing it at club level.
