I understand the reason for tightening the belt after some runs.. but why is there an ajustment for releasing the tension as well? tks |

Because the best setting is to run the belts as loose as possible without them slipping. If you run a 27T this will be a different setting than with a 7T or 4.5BL which will require the belt to be tighter to prevent it from slipping. |

I heard an xray driver say for 19t, run your back belt very loose, where as before it was always in the standard postion but it was like a guitar string. Now, with it loose the car feels free, and higher corner speeds. I suppose the transmittion is more efficient. |

Hello tony. Thank you for your answer. So, please give me an advice. For a 3.5T Brushless system with a FDR 7.5 + rubber tires. How about a stock 27 T motor? Your answer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

With a 3.5BL I would start with the middle-middle position unless one of the belts feels particularly tight (then run that one in the loose position). After about 3-4 runs check the belt tension and adjust the tension one notch tighter if you feel it is too loose. With 27T I would start with the loose-loose position unless one of the belts feels particularly loose (then run that one a notch tighter). After 3-4 runs same as for the 3.5BL. |

When running 27t I did have slip running both belts in the loosest position even with fairly new belts. Which belt usually slips first? I may try the rear loose but the fron't one position tighter and vice verser to figure this out. Mike |
