Droop refers to the amount that the chassis travels downward after the car is dropped and the wheels touch the ground, it is also the amount that the chassis travels upward before the wheels lift from the ground. I suggest you download the Hudy Set-up book here at where you can find all info together with the pictures. |

The best way is with a ride height gauge and a piece of paper. Insert the ride height gauge under the chassis till it lifts it off the ground then gradualy pull it out.(I have a stepped gauge) and at each step try sliding the paper under the wheels. When the wheels touch the ground that is the suspension at full drop. Take this height away from your ride height and you have the "droop". You need to make sure your suspension fall freely. Take your shocks off to do this properly as sometimes you can run out of spring (on the old style shocks). Also watch if you have been playing around with different shock towers or mounting points, as your front shocks may reach end travel before the grub screws in the wishbone actualy touch the chassis. I have seen this on the rear end with the multi tune mount when drivers use one of the middle or upper row of holes. |
