Well I am a great believer in them; some are not. In overall terms sway bars give you the benefits of harder suspension in the corners but no negatives on the straightaways - they have no impact when the car is running straight. They decrease body role giving you increased total grip - which is not the same as having grip where you want it!!!. IE all the other elements that give a balanced chassis come into play. Fitting a rear bar will increase you front grip - or decrease your rear gip - there is a sbutle difference there which I am not expert enough to articulate. I have never run a single sway bar, I always run front and rear, although on the T2 I have the smaller on the rear and the larger on the front. I did start with the medium on the front but it didnt work, I mean it was as if it did not exist; no idea if that bar is duff, I need to do more investigation. Oh and you cannot just slap them on you have to fit them so they are balanced else you tweak the chasis. Easy job though on the T2; I found the fronts less easy on the T1R |
