Post subject: | Aluminium C-Hubs.... Any Difference in Handling? |
HI, If I recall in a previous post Tony V mentioned that he usually uses the aluminium c-hubs to change the handling characteristics of the car. So Tony what are the changes in handling compared to the original plastic ones, and is there any change when using the aluminium steering hubs. Thanks |

i guess its because theirmuch stiffer (well i doubt they flex at all) you will get less castor change under heavy cornering...so your setup (well castor) will keep the same throughout the race. also there is less flex in them (As i said i doubt there is any at all) so it is making your suspension do all the work, unlike plastic ones where they will flex and help generate grip or what ever. tonyv will probably have a better explanation though |

Hi Guys so is there any diffrence in the rear hubs been alu ar composite i know in one of josh cyruls reports he talks about them "After qualifying I was looking at Ralph Burch’s T1FK and I noticed he ran the al. rear uprights. I liked how rigid these were so I put them on my car to try them in Saturday’s qualifiers" how would this affect the handling chipy |

basically the same as the front chubbys.....they would take away a bit of the rear end grip i think (if they were alu) and they wouldn't change the settings under heavy cornering...it basically has the same effects as the front end. |
