Post subject: | Help please on transferring to T2 Multidiff |
Hi we have been running a T1R - our first car - and have just acquired a T2 (ordinary not 007). So we have been running with front and rear what I would call normal diffs, I think they are called ball diffs. Now we have to confront/learn a new diff on the front of the T2 I think I want to do the following and would be grateful for comments. I want to get us to a point where the T2 at least equals our T1R laptimes (hopefuly better!) and would prefer to do this with the T1R front diff whilst we get the chassis settings right. This then gives us a benchmark to work against whilst we learn how to drive with the new diff. So 1. Can we just transfer the diff from the T1R? 2. Does this sound a sensible way of approaching it? 3. Can I just transfer my T1R settings to get reasonable performance initially or are there some things that will be different? |

Yes, you can use a diff from your T1R instead of the multi-diff that came with your T2. It could work for you but I suggest a different approach instead. Use the multi-diff and lock it so it acts as a solid axle (also referred to as spool). This is what most people run as it makes the car easy to drive (like with a normal diff) but also maximizes acceleration out of the corner (unlike with a normal diff in the front). As for the setup, I suggest you start with the base setup for the T2 which you can download here: . |
