Post subject: | T2R Maintenance |
Hi all, I've been running a T2R at my local club, but as I'm new to the hobby I'm not really sure of what maintenance is needed on a weekly/monthly basis can anyone give me a quick break down of what they do, or things I should look for ? Many Thanks Chris |

I do the following...depending on use and what you do at the track and how often. - Clean and Lube Bearings - Check and Tighten Loose Screws - Check Diffs (this should be checked often I guess - mine are always great!!!) - Check Belts, Pulleys, Spur for any abnormalities - Belt Tensions - Clean Chassis with Air Spray Can or High Pressure Air of some sort Its pretty straight forward...like a real car almost. Sort of...okay, not really. But yeah, inspect it weekly and make sure everything is good and nothing is binding or anything like that. Should run like a champ with simple maintenance. |

Cool ![]() Pretty much what i did last weekend ! removed bearings and re oiled them all (took ages fiddling with the rubber seals etc) I ended up rebuilding one of the diffs and when i did open it, i found it was dry inside. I managed to break one of the diff blades in a crash a few weeks ago, so I've got an alu diff up front and the kit one at the rear. I find that the kit one allows more grit and dirt in than the alu one does (partial cover instead of full) Looks like i'm on the right track (keep everything clean and tidy) then ? |

Yep...thats it. If you have a setup station (i.e. Hudy All-in-One or Integy), its nice to make everything perfect...camber, toe, steering, etc... Thats just a preference though. |
