If so, what spool are you using for the rear (multi diff locked?).

Just trying to gather some ideas for making a spool or just paying to get a multi diff and locking it for the rear.

Im trying a new setup to see if it works for me...Im more of a drifter type, but will run this thing on carpet once I get a chance to.

Im thinking of doing the following:

Front - Locked Front One-Way
Rear - Solid Spool/Locked

Any of you do this that run on carpet? Whats are your takes on this setup? Ive never drove on carpet before or any track type event...but looking at doing it. Im just trying to find a setup that Im used to. My other car is a TB-02 w/ rear spool and front one-way and it works for me.

Please respond with experiece so I know what I should really do. Im looking for a pretty universal setup that I can fine tune...which pretty much leave me with (2) multi diffs front and rear and just locking the rear and leaving front adjustable for liking...

i would not run a rear spool for anything other than on wood. i have tried many thing over the years even a oneway in the rear (made interesting driving) it will act the same as a limited slip diff in a normal car i.e BMW great for straight line acceleration but put the power on in the corner and well ask a BMW driver. i also would not suggest to run a one way in the front on wood either, this will give you massive oversteer like mad off power instantly spinning out if there is a hint of drag brake.


best allround setup for both is spool in the front and diff in the rear. when on wood run the rear diff tighter, when on carpet loosen the diff off to medium setting the kit springs in the T2 007' would do fine on both but you must make sure the setup is done on a flat surface and set equal side to side or the car will turn different from left to right very noticably different, worse in one way than the other normally. hope this helps

Yeah, I think I decided to stay with a Diff in the rear. Im going to try out a Middle One Way and a Front Solid One Way.

If I dont like the feeling, I can always revert back.

Any other advice from anyone?
