Post subject: | Screws getting loose |
Any advice for screws coming loose all the time? I run the car on asphault and concrete once in a while and noticed screws getting loose...to a point where it will fall off and has fallen off in a friends 007. We're scared to use loctite...but is that people use to keep them secure? Should I tighten them more or use loctite? Suggestions please. |

Be sure to use the Blue loctite. It is a medium strength formula. You don't need alot, just a small dab on the first 2 or 3 threads of the screw. As the screw is threaded into the aluminum, the loctite will work its way around the screw. You dont have to worry about the parts being fused together, as long as you DO NOT use the red or green formulas. You can increase the torque you put onto a screw, but run the risk of stripping the threads of the part that needs to be fastened. |
