Hi! I've been using brushless and seems like weight on left side (the electronic stuff) of the chassis is higher than right side (battery pack). How can I get the weight more even on both side; adding weight on the right side? (Yet this would increase the overall weight of the car), using springs preload to adjust? Please advice, much thanks in advance.

Sorry for incorrect typing; it should be "the left side of the chassis heavier than the right side" Thx!

weights are ur friend. many instances cars today fully outfitted are under legal limits (while it doesnt apply at most club tracks, its nice to be at rules-specification)...so put a lil weight on the other side and if possible shift position of your personal transponder and frankly any of your elecs where you can. gettin them more inward will reduce the amt of weight needed on the other side

Thx for the advice! In fact I've tried this already. It seems now my last option is to adjust the spring preload on the shocks. How about if I find out after adjusting the preload, the left and right shocks preload is having more than 2mm difference, is that be acceptable?

IMO, it is better to add weight to even things out, than using your spring collars (preload). If the chassis is tweak free, the shocks are the same length, and nothing is bent/binding, then your spring collar positions should always be equal.

When rebuilding the car (including shocks), I always put the collars at the top. Then with each front/rear pair, I put a small mark (sharpie) in the same position on the collars. Then I use the mark to make sure I turn the collars an equal amount, until I get the desired ride height at each end.

It shouldn't matter too much if the ride height difference from left to right is less than 1/4mm. Unless your racing in the A main at a regional/national event. :D
