If you go off throttle the mid one way will generate less drag brake, because of the decoupling of the front belt. And by that more steering at corner entry. |

It is all drag. Think of it this way. With the middle one way the front belt nd therefore the front pulley is free to rotate while with a fixed middle pulley they will be rotating as fast as the motor and rear wheels allow them to. Now add the front one-way to that. While the front one-way allows both front wheels to freewheel and, in principle, rotate independently (giving more steering), if you run a fixed middle pulley the lateral forces during cornering reduce this effect. This is because the outdrives are pressed into the front one-way causing some drag. Now put in a one-way middle pulley and while there is some of this lateral drag it is less than when running a fixed middle pulley resulting in a higher level of independence between the inside and outside front wheels and this slightly more steering still. It is not a big difference, but it is noticeable. |

One important thing to know is the weight of the centre one way compared to the fixed one. This because of the 5 cell / 1350 gr. rule in Europe and Holland. |
