I run a T2 and T2R and would like advice on the Front Multi-Diff of the T2. One a carpet circuit with a 10sec lap, what setting would you run the front diff on, at the moment it is a OneWay but I am getting this feeling I should be running a normal diff as I did seem to find the T2R slighty more stable on the corning on tight tracks. What advice would you give in choosing between the two ? |

I assume we are talking rubber tyres right? If so then generally I would run a one-way indoors on carpet to get enough turn-in for tight corners. Having said that, it does mean the car will be harder to drive that way. At the recent IIC in Vegas Frans Heinsbroek tried a spool in the front for that very reason. It did not look bad, but his car did suffer massive understeer after the change so perhaps the solid one-way setting or a normal diff would have been better for his setup. In my opinion indoors it will either be a front diff (set tighter than the rear diff) or a one-way. The one-way will normally be faster, but if your laptimes are inconsistent you might be better off running a front diff. The fornt diff will create more understeer into the corner, so you may need to run less caster or make other changes to your setup to compensate. |

Fitting a diff will give less steering compared to a one-way. But I would expect a diff to give more steering than a spool. Hope that clarifies it. |
