setting the droop is an issue if you are trying to measure it by suing the uprtravel methoed. The arms are so soft that they flex once the droop screw hits the chassis. I dont like using the gauges because tire size changes droop.....I can have a droop setting of 5 in the rear and that does not mean a thing if the tires are changed from 2.3 to 2.2.....uptravel is totally changed. |

I'm also considering buying this chassis. What differences in handling should I expect? I usually run stock motors, indoors on carpet with rubber tires. The car is quite good with the factory chassis but I am looking for a more responsive drive and more overall grip. Will this chassis deliver? James |

Jimmy, yes, the XRC is a great upgrade, makes the car really good in transistions as well. I have recently had a problem which is that the position of the servo is further back on the XRC and the turnbuckle between the servo horn and the steering linkage is too short. Anyone else noticed this? I've dug an old turnbuckle which is about 6mm longer to fix the problem, but I don't think I've assembeled it wrong, so am not sure what's happened, but they appear (based on the position of the servo mount holes) to be different? |
