Ole, I just got back from running my FK on our new 80x36 Carpet indoor track. I was also run in a modified class, I run a 7x2 Reedy with the stock 93 Spur and found that a 18 tooth oinion gave my FDR a 9.14 giving the car excellent punch and still plenty of top speed for my size track and the motor temp averaged around 152 degrees. As for the motor rubbing the belt, mine is close but there is no rubbing at all. I used the bottom 2 holes of the 4 that are on the motor and my motor is just above level of the top of the chassis. And the 2-3mm difference shouldn't be that noticable. Just my 2 cents. - Clark |

I've run a 96/18 with my D6 10x2 on asphalt so far. Now that our local track will be open for practice starting this Thursday, I'll be playing with the gearing a little more for all of my motors (Monster stock pro, Chameleon 19t Pro, and D6). BTW I run the 96/26 with the monster, but I shave off 1mm of the lips on the brushes and run all purple springs. Same with the chameleon, but I use a 28 pinion instead. |
