if you want to try something else, try ble/green front springs, lower the rollcenter both front and rear ( lower mounts on the arms ) and stand all 4 shocks up to the 5 spot in front and 6 in rear, you may be pleasantly surprised

Ok, went to the track last night and now I remember why I changed the downstops lol. In 2 short on power sweepers the car pushes badly as soon as I go on power. Due to the layout of the track i couldnt see the right hander but on the left hander I can see (car going away from me) that the right (outside) rear squats dramatically when I go on power. I think it is then lifting the front inside wheel and losing traction there. A friend of mine (fastest guy at the track) thinks the front wheel may be diffing out so we tightened the front as much as I cared to risk and added droop, which made it better in those turns. It just feels a little slow responsive wise in initial turn in. I may order a set of sway bars to see if that would keep everything a little flatter but wanted to try other things first. The rear lower eyelets are rubbing bad (shocks) so am going to move to the inside mount on the arm. Will try a few more changes tonight. Thinking rear spring change or either adding anti-squat. Any other ideas? |

I think you may get away with just raising the rear ride height to 6.0mm. This should keep the rear from squatting too much and the front inside wheel from raising off the ground. You'll probably want to loosen the front diff back up a tad and also raise the front downstops to 5, per Joep's suggestion. To match the change in the rear shock lower mounting position, I'd also suggest changing the front shock bottom mounting position to #1 (inside) and the top position to #4. This should soften the front overall (less leverage on the arms), but also speed up the steering response with more vertical shocks. |
