the T2 will accpet 3800's easily, jsut make sure the screw you use in the rear of the top deck, on the battery side is the proper length. it is shorter than the others, and if you use a long one, the battery will not fit into the car, and if it does, it will scrape off the battery heat shrink. It is always a good idea to file the battery slots in any car you get to help with 2 things. 1. battery fit, so it fits down in the chassis better, and 2. graphite is sharp and will cut into the cells, it is also conductive, so if it cuts into a cell it will short it out.

1) The T2 accepts upto the new 4200 / 4300 cells
2) How to prepare:

a) You have to file the slots. Just in a 45 degree angle.



b) After filing I advice you to wrap some sanding paper around a (old) cell and use it to finalize the slot job. Sharp edges tend to cut the foil of the cells. I always give all my cells an extra shrink wrap.



c) When mounting the battery bar look if the bar is equally pressing the cells. If not, use shims between the battery bar posts and the chassis to flatten.

And don't forget to glue the slots as indicated in the manual.

Thanks for this. I was worried that I will have to invest in smaller cells... Could have been an opportunity to go Lipo :D

As far as getting going is there anything that is not in the box?? I have plenty of tamiya pinions which I believe are 48p, I have plenty of wheels and tyres, I have all the electronics and a novak super sport brushless system.

Maybe 2 last tips about the suspension:

1: Pivot <-> Arm
In all 4 arms are 2 pivot pins
- The longer one inside for connection to the suspension holders
- The shorter one outside for the upright / c-hub
Check before mounting if both pivots are moving free. And with free I mean really really free. If not use a drill / reamer (3 mm) to make it so.

2: Suspension holders <-> Arm
The inside pivots are enclosed in the suspension holders and mounted to the bulkheads.
Sometimes it happens that the space between the suspension holders is to narrow for the suspension arm.
If this is the case take very little material away from both sides (front and rear equal) of the arm where the pivot is coming out of the arm to free it up.

The last thing you want is a binding suspension :)
