Post subject: | Ride height problem |
Ok, I am at a lost or it may be just sleep deprivation. ![]() I finished the build on my T2 and last night was putting the basic setup on it to start practice and racing with tonight. When I went to set ride height first I had the collars all the way up the shocks and even with each other. Then I noticed that the ride height was already 5.5mm all the way around. Shouldnt it be lower than that with the collars all the way up? I used the loose shock ball ends like the manual said. They are all the same length. Suspension holders are on right. I just cant find it. I should have taken a picture but it was already past midnight, but just wondering if anyone else ran into a problem and there is something obvious I am missing to check. I never had a problem with the TC3, T1R or the FK04 I built so its not like its my first car. The one area I did run into a moment of "hmmm" was the lower spring perches. On the old cars when you placed the spring over the shock then the perches and compressed the shock the perches "clicked" onto the lower ball end. 2 of the shocks did that fine on the T2 but 2 did not. I just took the 2 that didnt and gently flexed them a little wider so that they clicked down and thats really the only problem I ran into on the build. Any ideas? Broke the diffs in on my driveway and garage and must say that the car handles very quick even compared to the old cars in the limited time I have run it in little bursts. |

check the overall lenght of your shocks: it should be around 65 or 66 mm. My best guess is that you put on the wrong or longer ends on the shocks |

Yea, I feel like an idiot now lol ![]() Ran it anyway tonight.....wow, this car is easy to drive and dial in. 2nd night back from a year long break and first night with the car. Buddy of mine raced his for the first time tonight too and coming from a Losi that he had been driving for about 2 years and immediately said he regretted putting off buying one for so long lol. (I have been trying to talk him into an XRay since I had the T1FK) Thanks again guys, hate to admit it but I grabbed the long ends. I still cant figure out how I did it though because I even saw the caution in the manual about NOT uising the ones on the tree. Alot of my treed parts though had come lose so I guess i just grabbed the loose ones and didnt even think about the length. |
