Has anybody running the T2 had problems with the chassis on the T2 remaining tweaked after a small knock ? I find that the chassis will tweak very easily & not return to its original set position. The only thing I can put this down to is that unlike all the previous Xray touring cars the T2 top deck screw holes are not counter sunk. This will allow the top deck to move under the flat head securing screws then sick in a tweaked position. Has anybody out there tried counter sinking the top deck to use in conjunction with counter sunk screws ? If so does this stop the issue with the chassis staying tweaked ? Could any of you team drivers tell me if you can purchase a counter sunk top deck from Xray ? Any views on this subject would be much appreciated, apart from the suggestion to not hit any thing ! you can always put on counter-sink washers just like they use to prevent a HPI pro-4 from tweaking. besides, ive seen it on T2's too... |

Hi, thanks for your replies. I have read the T2 tech tip on removing the tweak from the chassis. I also agree that the counter sunk washers would give more surface area in contact with the top deck. This would assist in preventing the unwanted tweak in the first place ! The Thread is fine in the FAQ section but should the chassis not be designed so that the tweak needs resetting after each small knock ? I know that counter sinking the top deck would take a small amount of flex away but would it not be beneficial & eliminate most of the tweak problem ? Has anybody tried it ?
