Again, this isn't a matter of cost. I am looking for everyone's opinion on which they think is better, the original Hex/Hub integrated design or the new CVD-like drive line. I'm not asking for which one is lighter. If you think modifying the pins in the CVD design solves whatever issues their might be, then please don't vote, as it negates the point of this poll. If you failed to replace or use the bellville washers on the original design or CVD-like design or failed to replace them on a routine basis, please don't vote, as it negates the validity of your vote. This poll is not only about pins that may back out, it's the whole outer driveline design I'm referring to. Please post your comments regarding each, if so needed. |

The interesting thing about the polls you start is that allways you seem to miss the main design considerations. You state that you are not interested in the weight of the solutions. Fine, then this poll is biased as one of the main reasons to change the design was to lower the unsprung weight and thus change the car's handling characteristics. Without allowing all design considerations to be taken into account how can you presume to second guess the T2 design team? |

yeah sure the integrated design was nice, and a "trademark" so to say, but when it comes down to it, if the rotating mass is too excessive something needs to be done. the hex design normal cvd design might not seem "original" but it is the best. if you seem to be clipping boards with the new designs shaft that prodtrudes past the wheel, then just cut it. the T2 is awesome. there's very few things people have found wrong with it. i was thinking that maybe xray could lighten the rear baulkheads up a bit, but the extra alloy om the T2 design probably adds ridigity to the design when using high powered mod motors anyway, and reduces tweek under acceleration load. |

I miss one poll option and that should be: "I trust Xray with all their considerations in changing the design and will evaluate it after a while and give my grounded opinion here to improve the design further" or short ..... lets first drive the T2 a lot
