Is it necessary to disassemble the diffs in the T2 kits or is their initial build and lube sufficient? I don’t want to melt it or something. I remember some talk about this on the last car, but don’t know if it’s a similar situation and recommendation. |

As in my review, I was shocked and nearly offended to see them prebuilt, given the issues some had with the FK05 thrust bearing. Both of my diffs were lubed fine on the pulley side, but such a minute amount, if any at all, on the thrust bearing. So, I dismantled them and started over. For some reason, the news ones don't feel near as nice as the spring steel diffs I have as spares. |

Hi, I have bought a FK05 (same diff) 2 months ago and i have have left the diff how it was. I just have set it a little tighter every run till it was tight enough,and thats all.The diff is still going perfect and i guess it will last another couple months before it needs a rebuild. Just leave it as they are,they are perfect.
