I want to stiffen up my T1R to try and improve the 'vagueness' of the handling and at the same time use softer springs to improve grip. This effectively gives a set up which is closer to the Evo 2. Which of the following two parts would be better? 301161 Upper Deck EVO 2 - 2.5mm Graphite - CNC Machined 301163 Upper Deck - Wide I race on fairly small indoor carpet tracks with rubber tyres using 19 or 27 turn stock motors. |

The extra wide one would not be compatible with the bulkheads you have, you can use it if you modify the top deck. |

Will the 3.5mm chassis fit ? It's what I would recommend. |

when you don't have the FK bulkheads you cannot use the 3.5 mm chassis because the arms ( long or short one's ) need to be fitted on the middle hole on the bulkhead. You can adjust the chassis like shown on the pictures here above but it's cheaper to sell your racer to someone who's getting started and buy a brand new Factory kit. Then you will have everything new. |
