The advantage to using scales is you can get each tire to weight what you want. You can equalize the front tires to each other and the rear tires to each other. With a tweak station, all you can do is equalize the cross weight, LF+RR = RF+LR |

dave, if you are at the 2 day dms meeting, come and check out our flat patch/ corner weight pad, made out of 45mm thick machined alloy, we have found alot about the car with it through the year. |

I use four digital scales to balance/set the tweak on my FK05. It works perfectly on a flat surface. I made a pit board that has adjustable feet so I can take it to the track if I need to. When I use the scales I measure wheel weights in grams, which is a very fine mearsurement. Just 1/4 turn on a shock collar and you will see a 10 gram difference in weight on that wheel. Scales will make you think twice about randomly adjusting shock collars at the track. You can also measure in Oz if you like, but not as fine of a measure ment. I can get my car front wheels within less than 5 grams of each other. I love the scales, never will have anything else. There is a guy on RCtech.net that sells 4 digital, backlight, with stainless steel pads for $80 shipped, that's where I got mine, just search the username underdahill. |

try the ebay they have tons of those ( ) you will need something which has at least 500gramm capacity. For whatever reason they sell them cheap but they charge a fortune for shipping.
