I have tried both of them, I found: 1. T1FK perform better than T1R, especially on cornering. 2. T1R is "stronger" than T1FK, T1R is rigid but also rubbery, therefore it is not easy to break even on a hard hit. (sorry for my poor english). For new player, I suggest you can start from T1R because it is more durable, upgrade it if you found improvement on your skill and you need better performance. ![]() |

Just a correction...I'm a newbie with xray products....not rc racing...I have run a TC3 ![]() I just want to try another car that may help me....As I know xray is pretty good around here so I will go this way too... I want to have more bang for my buck...I was pretty sure that a raycer+top deck carbon+xtra rigid chassis+low ratio pulley+shock tower will be the same as a FK....But maybe I'm wrong... I ask because if I buy a FK, I will also need a front diff+front carper shock tower+ I will want the xtra rigid chassi too...so this will increase a lot the cost of my new toy!!!! |

Sure, but with the FK you get the short A-Arms which I consider a must have for foam carpet racing. Also you get the FK front and rear shock tower (you may not need the carpet front shock tower!), a package that weighs about 100 grams less than the T1R, and competition belts to boot. For foam tyre racing I would also recommend the solid axle instead of the front diff/one-way. The thick chassis is also a good improvement, but with the standard FK a front spool and anti-roll bars you will have a very competitive foam carpet racer already. Since you are obviously a serious racer I truly recommend the FK. The T1R maybe cheaper, but you will need to add a lot of option parts that are standard with the FK which will make your T1R package ultimately more expensive. |
