I'm not exactly sure what the actual difference is in composite and alloy shock bodies even though I use them myself, but if I were to guess I would probably say firstly you don't get much wear and tear and therefore less air into the shocks which will make them stable for longer and secondly is you have a big accident (not necessarily your fault) which could put a lot of pressure on the shocks there is less chance of the alloy shocks cracking or breaking. i was told that alloy shocks are more responsive, due to the fact the shock bodies are more ridged. while composit ones under heavy use will almost expand the slightest amount.... Almost making them smoother. Weather this is true or not i can't comfirm. I have only used the composit ones and have never felt the need to use another. |

My experience with the plastic shock bodies are not good. I broke two in a day. Very thin shock body material. It broke on the thread. I am looking for the aluminum ones but Stormer doesnt show them and the RC Shack is out of them. I need them soon as I dont trust the plastic ones anymore. Know where they are immediatly available? |
