Dear Team X Ray/ fellow X ray drivers

Have run excellent T1R for a while. Now I am buiding a new FK05. I would be grateful for some advice on the following questions:

I would like to run 64DP gearing. Which brands fit the X ray laysghaft propely?.... RWR (Robison Racing ) are the eaiset to get for me.

What range of sizes of spur gear are recommended/ will fit the 05

I have bought the 2 mm lower deck as I run rubber tyres outdoors. Will this work ok with the standard upper deck or do I need the adjustable upper deck too. Main track is technical, variable grip 17 - 19 second laps. We run in all weathers.

Congratulations on getting an FK05! The answer to your gear sizing questions can be found in the .

The adjustable upper deck is recommended in order to adjust the chassis flex for differing track grip levels.

i would recoment the RW spur gears
Available mail order from www.mictrotechracing.com as are all the xray spares and options

Hope the car is going to be ready for the next meeting

As has been said for 64 gearing I have a 116 RW in my race car and this is definitely the biggest you can use. In my spare I run a 114 ... also this is good if I want a finer gear ratio change.

I have noticed that the adj deck really gives a better feeling with the car ... I feel it is something definitely worth having. The belt tensioner is also a good feature I feel.
