Hi Guys,
I'm after some thoughts and advice for which tires to run on smallish indoor carpet tracks.
I currently run at two clubs. One has a track about 12 x 20m. They do not allow the use of tire cleaners or additive, rubber tires only and stock motors. The other has a larger track (25 x 14m), again rubber tires and stock motors, but they allow additive.
So far, I have got on best with the CS22 and CS 27 tires that come pre-glued with inserts. When I can use additive they go well, but the car understeers off power into the corners if I cannot use it (unless I use the brakes to turn in, then I spin!)
I have tried Schumacher Carpet Dragons and hated them, similarly T27 and Pit slicks - for me they change grip too much as they heat up and the balance of the car goes to pot.
I've seen some Sorrex 20R tires advertided on various sites and wondered if anyone has tried these, what inserts you used and how they go.
The rest of my set up is:-
Front
40 oil, 2 holes, white springs, kit spring positions.
1.5 degree kick up, 3 castor, 1.5 camber, one way diff.
Middle camber link.
5.0mm ride height.
Kit ackerman
Rear
30 oil, 2 holes, white spring, middle shock tower holes.
0 anti-squat, 2.0 camber.
Kit camber link
5.5mm ride height.
Any help and advice much appreciated.
James
