The FK05 is the only 10th scale touring kit other than the T1R being maufactured by XRAY right now. If you look around, you still might be able to find a NIB Evo2 floating around. Parts are still being made for the car though. With an XRAY, there really is no such thing as a hop-up, only tuning options to suit whatever driving condition. |

Depends what you define a "hop-up" as. With other cars, a "hop-up" is generally regarded as part that replaces a potential weak part. There are none that I know of on the XRAY. A tuning option is something like a one-way diff, belt tensioner, etc... They offer the car no improvement over the previous part except for handling characteristics. |

Interesting conversation. In the scale racing circles I've been privy to, a "hopup" is regarded as any part that doesn't come standard in a vehicles configuration directly from the manufacturer. If this is the case, then any part that you would have to buy that doesn't come with your T1 kit, is a hopup. But in XRAY's case, I agree with goonish's thought process. Every XRAY hopup is really an additional tuning option. |
