No, they were not adding weight to them or anything. They would put them on this device, get the information they wanted, and then set the tire to the side in seperate stacks. He would do all the teams A-mail tires (near 48 tires) and each time he did a tire he would put it in a certain stack, like he was some how matching them. I must be some way to measure the hardness of the rubber, the insert, or something like that. Because if it were for weight they could have just laid the tire down so it would not roll off, instead of using the piece of aluminum standing up to keep it from rolling off. Must be some team speed secret, it's just got me wondering. |
