Post subject: | shock oil |
Hi I`m doing a little comeback in electric touring this winter, when I look at all the setup sheets from the top drivers almost everybody seems to have xray 30 oil in the shocks. For me it looks like the springs is more important than the shock oil, I`m I right? I`ve been driving offroad this season where shock oil is very important, isn`t the shock oil very important in touring? Could you feel big difference in 30 vs 50 oil in the shocks??? |

I've read on here a couple times that the FK05 seems to react quicker with a light oil/stiff spring set up. It make the car react to a direction change faster. I think I saw it in one of Jilles posts from the snowbirds. |

Bear in mind that most drivers use the adjustable pistons and close one or more holes, rather than using thicker oil. For carpet racing, some use XRAY or with all or most piston holes open. |
