Hi, i have recently bought an XRAY T1R (RAYCER), and find it very easy to drive, great handling, and really quick with a 27turn team orion core stock motor. I have had a few idea's about modifying it, but just want to check if the modification i want to do is sensible. I want to put a 6x1 turn team orion hara edition motor in the car. I have told my club mates about what i wanted to do, and they just laughed and shook their heads at me! You are the experts, so i just want to check it with you. Thanks for any help you can give me, Callum |

Yes a 6T motor will "fit"... but are you a good enough driver to cope with the extra speed? If you think it's quick with a 27T, you're likly to mess your pants with a 6T. I'd suggest a reasonable compromise is a 19T, this is quick enough for most competent club drivers, and will be a cheaper (in the cost of repairs) than a 6T when you get it wrong and hit something...as you will... |

Well if you are running a 27 turns motor you have to check more: - can the ESC handle the motor ? - can your batteries handle the current ? |

Filing the tab off of the endbell makes the motor illegal for BRCA sanctioned events. And most clubs will frown on this if you run the motor in stock class. |
