Several team drivers placed the left saddle pack forward for better steering. Keep in mind that you'll probably have to tweak your setup to accomodate for the new weight distribution. With your current setup, I'd suggest lowering your front roll center and/or going to softer front springs. |

I haven't seen your setup, but for low speed tight corners generally putting the front shocks more vertical (outside hole on shock tower) and possibly using a harder front spring will help. |

Could someone please provide me with a picture of a FK04 with the standard chassis and three cells moved forward? I´m not sure how to fit and wire the electronics and how to change the battery cells because it will no longer be possible to push them trough under the top deck like with the standard config. Could someone enlighten me please? |

Hi Jaune! Thank you very much for your pictures and your test report! Probably you had the same idea as me. I just wanted to copy the weight distribution of the FK05, which is obviously the greatest difference between those two cars. On my local track the 05´s can take the low to medium speed corners a tad tighter than the 04´s, so I´m trying to work on this. Yesterday, I lowered the front A-arm monting screws in order to get 1,5° Anti-Dive and 1,5° caster, which makes the car a few tenth of a second quicker and more aggressive on turn in. You should give this a try if you have´nt already done so. Any other ideas are much appreciated! CU! |
