how do i set timing on my motors which way is rpm and which way is torque what area should i stay within thanks

Looking at the end bell, if you turn the end bell counter clockwise you will be adding timing which will give more rpm but less torque, and it will make the motor run a little warmer. Depends on whick motor you are running for a timing guess. Typical higher turn mod motor you would not want more than 35 to 40 degrees at the most. Hope this helps. And yes they will scream but watch your temps close!

I don't think you should go over 30 degrees because stock motors have 24 degrees timing and they are normally pretty hard on the com. When you increase the timing to around 35 dregrees timing you not only risk the life of your motor but you also risk the life of your speedy. I may be wrong because I haven't had to much exprience with mods but I personally wouldn't go over 30. Drew.

with my mods i don't think i have ever ran much over 12 deg, that seems about right i find.
