Yes. The battery strap offers a different way to secure the battery, but the argumanents for filing the battery slots and side of the chassis don't have anything to do with securing the battery. |

Hey Andy, Nope, the rear diff isn't supposed to be slanted. Odd are very good that you didn't notice that there were two different hub carriers, and that the right and left hand one aren't the same. I did the same thing when I first built my car. Take a close look at the oval-shaped plastic bits that hold the diffs. make sure they are the same part, and are in the same way. B |

Also make sure that the eccentric bearing holders that control belt tension are in the same slot left and right. |

Don't you *have* to file the battery slots to use 3700 or 3800 batteries? I broke a battery bar loose after a slight impact, and someone told me it was probably because I had not filed the battery slots to hold the 3700's - it had the battery not sitting completely flat, and the tape then put it in a bind where it didn't take much to break the bar loose. |

Hi, yes you do have to file the battery slots to make the 3700s and 3800s fit but you only need to do this on the 2.5mm chassis and the 3mm chassis as the 2mm one comes ready done for you Hope this helps you Ben |
