I agree with Mario. Definitely get the wide top deck with rear stands but hold of on the rest. The car will be very competitive on foam with just these two options. The other options will also improve the performance but the steps are smaller. In order of preference I think the chassis would actually be the last upgrade to make. |

One more thing to add. You shouldn't have to buy the entire spring set, but purchasing a set of purple (#308397) springs for the front & violet (#308396) springs for the rear will definitely speed you up in the corners with the stiff upper deck. Each set costs approximately $13-$16. |

I'm an average club racer and here is what I learned regarding the option parts: the wide top deck gave all of the xray drivers a great impovement in the laptimes. Some guys tested the 3.0mm chassis in addition but could not further improve the laptimes with it. So we all agree that for carpet foam racing the wide topdeck is a must but the thick chassis is not so important. I also recomend the steel wheel hex (305315) to the front, the alu stock ones are great for pro's but for us they bend too easy Lower 0.75mm Eccentric Suspension Holder (302041) is also a great and cheap option for fine tuning the roll center You can change to hard C-hubs as soon as you break the stock ones ![]() The battery strap is also a nice to have option gives you more convenience and protects your batteries. |

I heard the aluminum can flare and make getting the bearings out difficult. |

Sometimes the aluminium can flare this is sometimes caused by to much steering lock. I'd get the steel ones straight up, Just to be safe. You only really need them for the front. Drew |
