Suggest you try the following 2 things: 1) reduce your ride height (to reduce grip roll) to 5mmrear and 4.5mm front 2) increase rear toe in by 1 degree (to a maximum of 3 dergrees) Note. I'm assuming you are running kit springs and that you have mounted the shocks for indoor racing (i.e. as vertical as possible), if this is the case, and the above does not work, move the bottom of the rear shocks outwards (towards the wheel rims) and/or move the top of the shocks in 1 hole at a time. |

It does not sound like traction roll is your problem, so lowering the ride height may be counter-productive. If you have not already lowered the rear roll center (via the inner hinge pin location), give this a try. The "basic setup sheet for rubber tires" uses a mid roll center in the rear, which won't work well for you if traction is really poor. |

hi ncfc keith, the problem could be that the rear springs are a bit too soft, this may sound strange to others but as you know (norwich) i worked out were you are is very high grip, what could be happening is as the car enters the corner the tyre creates more grip than the spring can handle, thus causing the rear of the car to collapse. try going up to a white spring. if not, mount the inboard rear wishbone pivots in the top holes, then put a 2 mm spacer under the ball joint on the wheel end of the top link, this will make the car safer going into a corner, and give you more steering coming out. another thing to check is rear droop, try setting it to 2mm on hudy droop blocks, also run the chassis at 5mm, you will need to check this each time as tyre wear on minipins can change alot in a run. |
