Hi, just want to know what is the difference of the performance between aluminum or Spring steel front outdrive ?? I know if I run mod the spring steel is stronger but how about running 17.5 Stock class ? is that lighter is better ? Thanks |

Buy the steel one, it will last forever and weight difference is negligible |

As mentioned the spring steel will last longer - it won't wear out where the blade touches the outdrive as quickly as the aluminum. However, there *is* a performance difference between the two. For club racing and smaller races I run the steel ones, but will swap out to alu ones for larger races where I want every small advantage I can get. |
