Hi, ran into a problem yesteday when running -0.75 hexes at the rear of my T4 2017. With these hexes, and running Sorex tyres, the rims are slightly touching the small "bump" which contains the set screw of the upright. Please see attached photos. I have marked the place on the rims where the upright is touching. I see several of the Xray team drivers using this setup, so I was wondering how this is normally resolved? Appreciate any input ![]() |

We saw this problem at the 1/10 Euro's on the LRP tyres, though I've never seen it on Sorex prebuilt tyres. The only choice you really have is to add a small shim beside the hex to bring it back out a little. The other alternative is to run ARS, which has the set screw facing downwards, not to the side |

I have had this issue when running the narrow hex as well. I usually run a shorter setscrew in the hub and trim some material off of that nub with a dremel. With that I can run the width exactly how I want and not worry about ever rubbing. |

Thanks for your feedback, both! Will try trimming off a little of the nub. Seems like its just a little bit at the top of it which is necessary for the tyre not to rub against it. |

I had the same issue on sorex. Just dremel the hub till it's flush with the grub-screw, and that's enough to fix it. Dale |

Thanks, DaleBurr. Did just that, trimmed off a bit at the top above the set screw and it's working perfectly now ![]() |
