-Since I dont have a tiny reciever and needed to make use of space I decided to drill a hole in the centre brace to mount the antenna. -I used 3 different carbide bits to do this. 1/16" to mark hole Counter sink to enlarge the beginning of the hole 1/8 Burr bit to drill hole through -This would not have all been done had I removed the part from the car, I was to lazy to do that. Carbide bit is important though. -This will raise the CG slightly however it was something I had to do to address the fitment of the ESC and Reciever -You should also be aware of the belt you can damage, spacing it out of the way is important. -Now I just need to redo my ESC plugs and install the stock motor I am going to use and we will be off to the races. |

Spent too much on the kit and now you can't afford tiny electronics for it. I know how that feels...LOL |

LOL!! it isnt that, I just cant justify always buying something new just to have the latest or greatest, Since we have to add weight to the car anyways what is the point in spending good cash on lighter componants, besides the extra grams of the reciever help out against the battery.. |

I noticed that other people (Jilles, TonyV) have their antenna mounted on the top deck as well. Is there an other reason for that besides making more room for electronics? |

I dont think there is another reason, although it does keep the antenna from rubbing on the chassis. |

Yes there is an other reason for Tony, Jilles and also me and my teammates to do so. It's the way to be as high as possible with the antenna and by that the best change of having less interference potential. |

And putting the receiver on the servo gives a higher (unwanted) rcoll centre. |
