Hello, Im a proud owner of an xray nt4. I was wondering, has anyone tried using a rear diff in the front?

It's not as common as a spool but can be a good tuning addition at some tracks. I've personally never found it a benefit at my local tracks, each to their own though

I found that at my local track, using a gear diff did make the car turn in better, but you lose the pull from the spool coming out of the corner, so lap times were no different.

I haven't used spool since the late 90s gear diff with 300000 oil front and 1500 too 2500 rear on any track will out perform a spool.

When breaking with a spool there are no front breaks how ever using a diff you get better breaking and the thicker the front diff oil the more pull through the corner you have... similar too a spool.

You get no brakes from a front 1 way. You get almost the same braking as a heavy diff using a spool, you should get more turn in on a gear diff but look at the setup sheets not many people use front diffs on any surface
