Here's one for the T4'14 car. I assume this is at the Tamiya Circuit? And another for the T4'15; |

The 2nd setup there would probably be a good starting point. I think that guy is local to the Tamiya track. Those gears seem huge to me personally, but I've also never been there. Quick tip on the Tamiya track, the sauce game is critical. If you get the chance to club race there a few times before the Reedy race, I'd strongly suggest studying what the local fast guys do for traction additive. What do they use, how long do they let it sit, do they use tire warmers, etc. I've heard that they have it down to a science, enough that they change their sauce method based on temperature and cloud cover. Don't be afraid to ask questions there, but be sure to pay attention to what they do. Good luck! That's one race I want to do eventually. |

Hey man, I had the pleasure of attending this race last year and am going again this year. It is tricky to get it right and Robbie is correct about the sauce game being critical. A few things that I found worked for me were: Lots of inboard sweep 2.5-2.8 springs in the front 2.6 springs in the rear 450 cst front 400 cst rear Raised top deck by 1mm Reduced rear toe Spool in front/7k in rear diff Mount body forward 5mm (LTC, the LTC V2 may be slightly different) I am not sure on gearing for 17.5 as I ran 13.5 last year, but I would guess you'd want to be around 3.8 for 17.5. Feel free to come find me at the race if you need help - there are lots of other XRay guys there who will be happy to help as well. Cheers! Luke |
