hi I have a 17.5 blinky RX3 motor and i am running it at 3.2 gearing in a X-ray t4-15 as i don't get to do much testing and just race i am not sure if this is the best for the motor. will anyone be able to tell me what a good gearing and timing would be for this motor. |

It depends on the track. Is it technical or flowing? How long is the straight? What grip levels? |

Have you got a temp gun or sensitive fingers? Rule of thumb for me is start high on the timing but not full get 5 laps practice in and grab your motor as soon as it stops, if it is hot but tolerable then only around 60* if it's intolerable it will be over 80*. Adjust your gearing to get close then fine tune with EBT for track layout and ambient changes |

What is it like compared to other cars on the straight and pulling out of slow corners, my Gforce feels sluggish out of corners if I gear it that low but it's good around 4.0 with 42* timing, my local tracks have straights of no more than 30m and a lot of hairpins though. |
