Hi, I see on some setups the top deck is raised by 1mm. What does this do and is it worth trying? Thanks, |

I tried it a couple of weeks ago. You only need to raise it 0.5mm, any more and it will be a bit close to the belt. It's mainly used when using the motor-mount post instead of the layshaft screws. The post improves rear traction and stability. Shimming the top-deck improves traction even more, by allowing for more rear flex, because it gets the top-deck away from the layshaft mounts. Definitely a useful adjustment. I used it in combination with the steering brace (with standoff). This combination gave me mega traction out of the corners, and great steering as well, which suited the med/low grip conditions. |

Put shims (washers) between the topdeck and all bulkheads. Any hole that has a screw in it needs to have a shim between the topdeck and bulkhead. |

Also works if not using the centre post. |
