:!: Just bought T4 2015 specs. This is my first Kit, always had RTR, and never anything on road. Need suggestions for Radio set (need extra receiver because I bought the Formula 1 XRAY kit also) Motor and ESC, or combo, Servo. I don't even know what size tires this uses. I will appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
MACHMAN

All depends what you are doing with it?
If your local club runs stock/mod class you would need a motor that fits in either class, also tyres and body shell differ for asphalt or carpet best to go and talk to the regular racers

I'm not going to be racing. I'm retired and will just be running on asphalt with my friends. I don't know any of the people that race, that's why I came here. I can run whatever I want, so I'm looking for a fast motor and ESC and servo to support it. I'm not concerned about price, just want quality, performance and FAST!

Thanks for your help.

In mod drivers use 4.5 - 6.5t motors which hit 60+mph on track, on open space a lot more. Esc wise you want a 100a+ so a hobbywing xerun v2.1/V3.1 120A, LRP FLOW, Orca VXX would do the job, (would be handy if your mates have program box's then buy a compatible ESC)
Radio wise anything should do I use Spektrum but there were issues with their early 2.4G stuff not now though
Servo a Savox 1251 or 1252 are reasonable cost/performance
Tyres would be determined by surface condition, on smooth asphalt tracks drivers use pre glued slicks like Ride REX34 or Sorex 32 that come in packs of 4, you may need some tread on the tyres if there is not much grip but they will need to be glued

I am still waiting for my car to arrive, Ordered from the Netherlands, and I think it must be on slow boat. I bought a Savox 1251MG, and Tekin Sensored Kit with RS Gen 2 ESC, 8.5T. I also bought HPI 190 Porsche 911 Turbo, and Nissan Nismo body. I haven't bought anything for the F1 kit yet. Going to build the Road car first , then tackle the formula 1. I have a lot of new on road wheels and tires and I'm gonna wait and see how they do. Up in the air at the moment on Radio system. I ordered 2 Turnigy 6.6 90C 2S batteries, because I have read a lot of good things about them on the forums. :)

Radio system: Sanwa MX-V
Very good radio for an attractive price.

If you live in the Netherlands, come visit one of the tracks for information about electronics etc, for instance the MACH track in Heemstede..
