Hi guys, I'm currently running a T4 2014 in Sportman class 21.5t blinky. I have just changed motors for the new season and run into a problem with the new motor. It's hitting the top plate and not able to get it close enough to mesh the gear correctly. Previously I have been running the Trinity D3.5 and on the front of that motor it has a very large chamfer so the motor can adjust closer to the spur. I now have decided to run the Team Orion VST but it does not have a large chamfer and it limits the adjustment. What I've had to do is space the motor from the motor mount using 3mm spacer so the motor actually sits out away from the top plate to get the adjustment, but I'm not sure on how this will affect the car in handling. Has anyone come across this???
I'm running a final gear ratio of 3.2 (64T spur and 38T pinion) I have thought about going to a larger spur and larger pinion but would that affect the motor's RPM output?
Thank you!
