DHI T4 2015 Starting set-up

Hi.
I am going to race my T4'15 on new carpet next weekend.I don't have much time for testing and would like to start with your DHI Starting set-up.I do not have an alu-chassis.Do you think it's worth a try with the carbon chassis.I'm racing 17.5t Stock.

Sorry you didn't get an answer.

My son was running mod at the DHI Cup, but we do not use the alu chassis, and I have been wondering if we can use Hagbergs setup, because we are not using the alu chassis.

To complicate things even further, I believe that he is also using a different thickness top deck too.

Does the extra stiffness not take away some flex and hence some traction?

Is it equally usable in low traction conditions?

Well, the best option, I guess, is just to get one and try for yourself.

We're having a crack at our first ETS in Germany in some 3 weeks time, and even though we are "back of the pack", we want to be prepared :-)

That sounds logical.

I guess the alu chassis is still good (or acceptable) in relatively low grip situations, because Hagberg used the alu chassis at the DHI Cup, and the carpet was new, so on the first rounds the grip was non existent.

And on a side note, our car weighs 1296 gr. race ready, so a little heavier alu chassis puts more weight as low as possible.

The car works fantastic with the 2.0mm aluminium chassis in combination with the 1.6mm topdeck. Its my starting point for any carpet track these days, low and high grip!

Hi.
Tried it out myself.The DHI Set-up worked great at my club track.It's a 100m long technical, high-grip,carpet track.Lots of steering an a stable rear.Broke my lap record and drove constant.I had CA glue on my front wheels.
My clubmate had Jan Ratheisky's DHI set- up in his car with a 10.5t stock motor.After changing to Hagberg's DHI set-up he was totally satisfied with
the performance of his car.
I don't have any idea what I could change to make the set-up better.Sunday I will try nwer wheels.Thanks for the great help here.I know why am driving X-Ray.

Guess I will just have to get the alu chassis and 1.6mm top deck to try out for myself.

Hi Salkin.Like I said,I don't have an alu-chassis, but Hagberg's Starting DHI Setup worked great for me (17.5t) and my clubmate (10.5t).
