Hi over winter I will be running my t4 14 indoors on carpet at present I have the car set up with the centre post installed and rear brace screws removed as I have been racing outdoors.question is should I still leave the centre post fitted for carpet or remove it? And put some screws back in the top brace? Thanks

Seems to depend on grip levels and the tyres you're using.

I like it on carpet but some others don't. If grip gets higher and the car is too safe to drive you might want to remove it, put all the top deck screws in and fit the optional steering brace to the top deck.

i ran it today at EWS and the rear of the car felt good however i didn't like the steering brace as it made the car feel too pointy

I tried with the brace fixed to the top deck and unfixed - was slightly better put car was still a bit pointy, next time I will take it completely off.

But I was suffering from the rear being loose all day or should I perhaps say too much front end

I run the center post in and the lay shaft screws removed and still suffered from a lose end so I losend the rear belt one notch and the rear settled down like other advice I have had I run the front belt tight and the rear lose

Apart from that I run the sorex carpet setup

I was the same as you centre post in layshaft screws out, had belt I think the looset I could get it (tab in top notch at the bottom of the rear bulkhead).

Also running the ARS rear end, 2.5 toe in, 1mm shim on outer only. Took the shim out later so it was 0 shims in & out, which was better.

I think I might have had too much on the steering end points, as was at 85%, was reducing it all the time, started at 95% which made the car better. when on the set up it was 20 degrees turning each side from the neutral.

any glue on front sidewalls??

i did from round 2 and the car felt good
