Post subject: | T4 '14 Carpet setup - Sorex 32JB |
Hi guys. I have just returned to racing my T4 '14 after a short stint running a DETC410 and was after a couple of set up tips. I've had it recommended to follow the Hagberg basic carpet setup (300cst oil all round, 2.5 springs etc) as apparently this works well at our local track, but I notice this is suited to the Sorex 28JB's. I'm currently running 32JB's at the moment so what would be any recommended tweaks for these over the 28 setup? Thanks all! |

At my local club we follow Hagbergs setup but run 2.6 springs all round. We were running 28jb's but a few of us have switched to 32jb's. We've not altered the car setup and not noticed any difference |

Thanks Mark, i'll try it with the 2.5 springs to start then maybe move to 2.6 as a trial. Cheers all. |

With softer tyres you will get more grip and traction. Be carefull the understeed and oversteed about all. The car will be more reactive. Be carefull your driving style too. For 28 Sorex, about from your setup, check the front camber. You are using more camber in the front than the rear. I think you use this because you have understeed in corners. About the shock springs try to harder spring in the front. I hope this help, good luck. |

xform/index.php?act=view&ID=26&setup=t4_2014 This is a good setup for Sorex tires on carpet on low to medium bite |
